Heavy Duty Truck Mechanic / Technician

Top performers may exceed this range based on productivity and experience. Johnson Truck Center, a subsidiary of Indel Power Group, has an opening for a Heavy Duty Truck Mechanic/Technician at our location in Manassas, Virginia. This individual must have previous experience as a technician.

Key Responsibilities - Perform skilled tasks in the diagnosis of malfunctions, repairs, preventative maintenance, adjustments, and overhauls
- Use OEM software, tools, and technologies to maintain, diagnose, and complete repairs to promptly address and resolve customer vehicle or equipment concerns
- Commitment to safety and cleanliness
- Maintain open communication with management team regarding job status, updates, and changes

Technician roles are physically demanding and require prolonged periods of standing and/or walking. Occasional heavy lifting and pushing/pulling objects weighing up to 50 pounds (or more) may be required. While performing the duties of this job, the Technician will frequently use hands to manipulate and grasp objects; reach with hands and arms; climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, bend, stretch, or twist to perform repairs and inspections. Good vision to inspect repair work and effective communication are essential. Must be able to work safely in a noisy area with many odors present. A technician may work in areas with temperature and/or humidity extremes.
