Landscape Architect

Position Overview

Newton Landscape Group is seeking a Landscape Architect to join our team. This position will be responsible for developing residential landscape designs, managing client relationships, preparing project proposals, and coordinating landscape installation projects from concept through completion.

We are looking for someone who is creative, detail-oriented, and comfortable balancing design responsibilities with hands-on project management and field coordination.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to develop landscape design concepts and understand project goals.
• Prepare landscape plans, planting plans, hardscape layouts, and construction drawings.
• Develop project proposals, estimates, and budgets.
• Present designs and proposals to clients and manage revisions.
• Coordinate with installation crews, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Oversee projects from initial design through final installation.
• Coordinate material selections, purchasing, scheduling, and job site details.
• Maintain consistent communication with clients and internal team members.
• Participate in daily operations and assist with crew coordination as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Landscape Architecture required.
• Strong understanding of plants, hardscape materials, and construction methods.
• Experience with landscape design software such as Vectorworks or AutoCAD.
• Strong organizational, communication, and project management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Ability to be prepared for daily 6:45 am meeting. 
• Availability to work 40-45 hours per week.
