Role Overview

The Marketing Manager is a hands on marketing role responsible for owning and executing Jostin Construction’s day-to-day marketing in support of growth, brand credibility, and business development performance. This role bridges strategy and execution, translating company priorities into clear marketing plans, content, campaigns, and project pursuit support that advance revenue and long-term relationships.

Reporting to the VP of Business Development & Marketing, the Marketing Manager serves as the primary steward of Jostin’s brand, messaging, and marketing operations, enabling senior leadership to focus on client relationships, growth strategy, and market expansion.

This role works cross-functionally with Business Development, Estimating, General Contracting Operations, Human Resources and Concrete Operations, ensuring marketing efforts support divisional revenue growth, project pursuits, operational priorities, and workforce initiatives.

Core Responsibilities

Marketing Strategy & Execution

• Translate strategic direction into clear, actionable marketing plans and deliverables, taking ownership of execution while keeping leadership informed.
• Develop and manage the annual marketing and communications calendar, prioritizing efforts based on target markets, key pursuits, and operational priorities.
• Manage marketing-related relationships with clients, vendors, chambers of commerce, community partners, and industry organizations to support Jostin’s visibility, credibility, and business development goals.

Website Strategy & Digital Presence

• Lead the effort to elevate Jostin Construction’s website, so it accurately reflects the firm’s current project experience, capabilities, culture, growth ambitions and credibility.
• Work with the VP of Business Development & Marketing to define website strategy, structure, content priorities, and messaging direction.
• Serve as the primary point of execution and coordination with Jostin’s website vendor, owning timelines, content development, reviews, and implementation.
• Following the initial refresh, maintain ongoing ownership of website content and performance, ensuring the site remains accurate, current, and reflective of Jostin’s best work.

Brand Management & Messaging

• Maintain and strengthen Jostin's brand, voice, and visual identity across all platforms and marketing materials.
• Ensure messaging is consistent, credible, and authentic across proposals, the website, social media, internal communications, and external-facing materials.
• Assist with executive presentations, talking points, and materials for client meetings, panels, and industry events.

Content Development & Social Media

• Lead content planning, creation, and execution across social platforms
•  Develop content including:

o Project milestones

o Leadership visibility and thought leadership

o Culture, promotions, and internal recognition

o Community and industry engagement

• Coordinate photography, videography, and content capture with internal teams and external vendors.
• Monitor engagement trends and adjust content strategy based on relevance to business goals.

Proposal & Pursuit Marketing Support

• Partner closely with the Estimating and Operations teams to support RFQs, proposals, and interview materials.
• Own proposal positioning, storytelling, resumes, and project narratives within approved templates and brand standards.
• Maintain and continuously improve proposal templates, project descriptions, resumes, and marketing assets to support efficient, high-quality submissions.
• Help position Jostin’s experience, self-perform capabilities, and project teams in a clear, relevant, and differentiated way for each pursuit.

Marketing Performance & Accountability

• Track and support a focused set of marketing performance indicators that demonstrate contribution to growth, visibility, and project pursuit effectiveness.
• Regularly evaluate which marketing efforts are creating value and adjust priorities accordingly.

Skills & Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's degree in marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field preferred

Core Skills

• Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills with the ability to adapt tone for different audiences.
• Excellent judgment and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders.
• Comfortable translating high-level guidance into practical execution.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in Canva and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Familiarity with social media management tools and basic performance analytics.
• Working knowledge of photography, videography, and content production (hands-on or vendor-managed).

Experience

• 2-3 years of experience in marketing, communications, or a related role.
• Experience in construction, AEC, professional services, or other relationship-driven industries preferred.
• Experience supporting proposals, websites, or business development initiatives preferred.
