Job Description Join a busy, independent, family-owned veterinary hospital in the Charlotte, NC area as a Veterinary Hospital Receptionist. Reporting to the practice owner, you will support a balanced mix of veterinary services and help coordinate a typical daily volume of 25–50 appointments. This role places particular emphasis on client communication, appointment scheduling, and accurate records management. Responsibilities Greet clients and visitors, obtain pertinent information, and notify appropriate team members of arrivals. Schedule appointments and process clients and patients using practice software. Maintain accurate medical records and complete related data entry. Answer, route, and manage telephone calls using professional telephone etiquette. Accurately take and deliver messages while maintaining a log of calls requiring further action. Provide clear, courteous communication to clients regarding appointments and practice needs. Accept and sign for packages and notify recipients of their arrival. Perform routine clerical tasks and maintain a clean, orderly reception area. Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. At least 1 year of veterinary industry or hospital/reception experience. Experience with appointment scheduling and medical record management. Computer skills, including practice software, data entry, and related clerical tasks. Strong client service, verbal communication, and written communication skills. Professional telephone etiquette.
